The 38-mile Pinellas Trail runs directly through Largo and Seminole, connecting to Clearwater to the north and St. Pete to the south. The Largo stretch passes through neighborhoods, past parks, and through areas that give you a real sense of how locals actually live on this peninsula. John's Pass Village — Nearby Madeira Beach
Just south of the Largo/Seminole area, John's Pass Village in Madeira Beach is worth including as a half-day destination. A boardwalk fishing village on the Intracoastal with seafood restaurants, shops, dolphin and sunset cruise departures, and working fishing boats. The seafood here is legitimately fresh — several restaurants are steps from the fishing docks. Friendly Fisherman and Mema's Chowder House are local favorites.
Seminole City Center Area
The Seminole area has a solid concentration of local restaurants and casual dining — Florida sports bars, family Mexican restaurants, Thai spots that have been in the same location for a decade. The kind of places locals go when they don't want to drive to St. Pete. Seminole City Center also has a good mix of national retailers alongside local businesses.
